Darren Ward as chair of the Cockermouth Shop Front Steering Group for Main Street and designer of 12 of the renovated shop fronts received the English Heritage Angel Award from Clare Balding at the Palace Theatre, London.

The Carlton building in the centre of Maryport was once the town’s cinema. It was abandoned during the 70′s and fell in to disrepair until it was renovated as the home of Carlton Ceramics.
